Saying Goodbye To Jake... :( -posted by katie

It was with heavy hearts that we drove to a house Mike is working on to say goodbye to Jake. We had to pick Robert up anyway for soccer and all us girls decided to say one last goodbye... Jake is the dog Mike brought home about three months ago. At first we all loved him and there weren't many problems. But it because apparent that he really needed a better home. For one, we have no "yard" (as in, grass). For a while we thought we might get grass, but it didn't work out. So finally we decided that, for his sake, we needed to give him away, hoping someone with a yard would take him. I mean, he was locked up in the mudroom practically all day (we did take him for walks, but a puppy could walk all day!). So Mike took him to a house he's working on that DOES have a yard and kept him there for a while, thinking what to do. Finally he said he was going to give him to a dog shelter. He did end up giving him away about two weeks ago. But three weeks ago we said "goodbye." It was sad, but I hope he has a better home now...

We miss him, but hope he has a happier life. I thought these pictures were just too cute not to share! He really was a cute dog (even if he was disobedient at times!). Have a great week...
