A Girls' Delight -posted by katie

My last post of when we were in Florida: our annual Grandma's Tea :) It's such fun to dress up and act all British for just a few minutes. And I even got to wear my mom's old wedding dress! Grandma also has quite the collection of old Victorian clothes.

L-R: Katherine Grace, Elizabeth Joy, Patricia Hope, Mary Wisdom, Patricia Christine.
Misses Kate and Mary :)
How about a cup o' tea?
Dear Trishie.
Misses Elizabeth and Katherine enjoy a cup of Mrs. Patricia Christine's famous tea.
Jolly good!
The Cochran ladies.

After this we left for home. What a wonderful visit--thanks again Grandpa and Grandma! We can't wait to come again...

Mary, Patricia's and Robert's BDs! -posted by katie

Robert's 18th BD was on October 30th and the twins' 13th BDs were on November 4th. Yep, now we're all teenagers for a short time! (until I turn 20). Scary thought :0 Anyway, on with the pics! We celebrated at Grandmas's house (back from Family Vacation we stayed at my grandparents' for about another five days and then flew home).

Robert, Kole, and Mary (this took place on Grandma's back porch where there's a pool and they'd just been swimming).
Blow those candles (without spitting on the cake!),
Patricia and I take a look at Robert's gifts.
Popular Mechanics! He loves that magazine... (?) ;) I guess it IS pretty neat when he tells me what he latest electric cars can do *laugh*

Family Vacation Finale: Boating! -posted by katie

The last day before we left, boating was on the agenda! Little tiny speed boats made for two--what fun! I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I did (although Mary kept informing me that we were going "granny speed"--not true!).

Excitement is in the air as we get ready. Robert and Jessica were partners.
Joe and Mary.
Don't you just love those bright green life jackets? L-R: Trish, Cora, Danielle, Mary.
And the first group is going out! I LOVE Uncle Michael's smile here! He looks so happy :) That's his son, Caleb.
"Let's ride!"
Line up.
The return (my camera isn't good enough to get too far away of shots).
Nobody got any pictures of me and the second group doing it :( But I think you get the general idea. Can't say I liked driving (surprisingly) because I knew the boat had the capacity to turn sharper and at a higher speed, but couldn't bring myself to try it. But when somebody ELSE is driving, all I can do is hold on and scream! *wink*
A heron I spotted. Florida has a peculiar beauty...

Thanks for bearing with my family vacation posts! I hope you enjoyed them... Now, on to something else!

Family Vacation VII: At the "big" Pool! -posted by katie

The "big" pool being the one across the lake from where we were staying at at the large Wilderness Lodge Disney hotel. We weren't quite sure it if was legal of us to go there, but nobody seemed to mind. And it was a blast! This swimming area had two jacuzzis, a large pool with a little water slide, and a beach! So it was a big treat to go there...

First we had to ride the ferry across the large lake. Here is Dad with the buds, Sam and Caleb.
The three lady cousins :) Ellie, Danielle, and I.
In which all the ladies within ear shot crammed in!
Enright Jrs.
L-R: Jessica, Cora, Mary, Trishie.
And we arrived at the pool! Aunt Anne took a go at the water slide (the water was a bit cold).
Here comes Jessie!
And Mary--get a load of Jessica's smile :)
Again!
The jacuzzi was a big hit as it was a rather cloudy day, unfortunately.

As we were leaving, Sam got a pic with the "geyser." (man-made).

Family Vacation VI: Mini Golf at Disney -posted by katie

I hate posting pictures this far back, but I'm doing it anyway because I want to post everything that we've done... Yes, we did take pictures yesterday at Christmas, but those are going to have to wait until their proper order. Hang in there and enjoy the pictures!

We went mini-golfing while at family vacation as well and I always love that. I have tried real golf and think it great fun (and hard) but mini golf is still my favorite, I think :)

My group in mini golf. L-R: me, Ellie, Sam, Aunt Janet, Caleb
Got a chuckle out of this dude (that's wine, by the way, not blood).
Sam take s a stroke.
Action shot as it's heading straight for the hole!
This picture is funny. End of story.
Jessie and Cora (they were in another group, but around us).
Ellie concentrates.
Nice dancing elephant, eh?
What a cutie. Do you know that those boys actually beat me! Yeah, I stink at mini golf--but it's still fun!
Caleb.
At the end the other group celebrated by getting themselves wet through at the ending fountain. Go figure...

It was a lot of fun :)

Family Vacation V: Fun at the Pool -posted by katie

Sorry the last post was so hurried. I was um, in a hurry! Here are a few pictures I took of the awesome pool we got to swim in every day! There was an even better one across the lake that we went to a couple times, but more on that later :)

No, I have no earthly idea what Cora is doing. Mary looks cute though.
Nice action shot, if I do say so myself.
Another nice one. Looks like Jessie is actually standing in the deep end!
Floating.
Then it was pose time. I guess Trishie wants to be a granny when she grows up! (not that she'll have much of a choice...!).
Joe just loved getting kissed by Ellie *not* (we are all cousins so don't worry).
The cutest one. Uncle Michael and his son Caleb.
No comment. Thanks for dropping by!
