Our cousin, Cora, celebrated her 13th birthday party a couple weeks ago in her backyard. Her request was to rent a large slip n' slide--it was a lot of fun!
I took up position at the far end, and got several good shots.
Kole and a friend racing.
Robert momentarily forgets he's not on his skim board :)
Ellie.
Jam up!
Elizabeth and Mary racing.
L-R: Mary, Cora, Cora's friend Ali, Patricia.
Check out Cora's face!
Sweet.
Mary!
Robert.
Dance moves while sliding!
My favorite.
Trishie!
The Enrights cute dog: Zoe.
I don't know him!
The BD girl.
Friends.
Happy Birthday again Cora!

DISNEY WORLD! -posted by katie
A couple weeks ago Mary, my mom, and I went to Disney for the day! We are the "non-roller coaster" people and Elizabeth, Robert, and Patricia are the "coaster peeps" so we went separate days. Anyway, on with the pics!
Grandpa had to let us in since he can get three people in at a time, "free." Arm in arm... (Mary and Grandpa).
Yay for our first line of the day! (to get in)
The first park we went to: Epcot. The ball through the roof of the waiting pavilion.
Mary and I.
"Mine mine!" There is a new attraction (well, it's a couple years old, but relatively new) called "In the Seas with Finding Nemo" or something like that and in front it had the sea gulls yelling "mine mine mine." Had to take a picture.
Inside they actually had the sharks from Finding Nemo for posing! We could hardly contain ourselves... Anyway, here's Mary next to, I forget his name, but he looks funny.
Mary and I peering out of Bruce's mouth! What a fun picture...
Sissies :)
After Epcot, we hot-tailed it over to MGM (which is actually called "Hollywood Studios" now). I've always liked this speeder bike from Star Wars.
Attempting to look cool and Star Wars-like.
At Hollywood Studios we HAD to see the Indiana Jones show! We've seen it a million times, but it's always cool and they actually changed some things that made it even more believable this time! Anyway, before you look at the next few pics, you have to know something. At the show they always recruit like ten people from the audience to help with "extras" (Did you know I was an extra for the movie "Waterboy"? Really, I was! My dad, Robert, and I. Got paid $40 for the day to watch football all day in a stadium. OK, digression ended.) So ten people are on stage and have to do funny things. We learned the first time that one of them is a plant: a real stunt person who goes into the audience and gets picked. So with that knowledge, move on.
Indy and Marion, taking a break (they treat the "show" as a real movie take).
Meanwhile, the cast director wants someone to show how they "punch" without actually punching, so he picks an extra (who is really the plant). He begins telling him what's going to happen.
The director (blue shirt) calls over the large man in the green shirt to show the "extra" how punches are done. The extra looked faint soon after this picture.
So they called somebody in a little more the extra's size: Marion.
Marion gives him the low down.
And promptly proceeds to show him how to punch without actually hitting the person. She "messes" up.
Flattened! (this is all a show).
Marion helps the poor (hatless) guy up with a cheery smile.
Just to knock him so good that he does a complete backwards flip on the mat. Pretty good shot, eh?
Marion then proceeds to try and help him up, but he just falls down again.
Yeah, it was funny.
This was the last of the three "takes" of Indiana Jones. Marion and Indy await their chance to try and board a plane (I think this scene is in Indiana Jones and the Ark of the Covenant).
They run towards the plane.
The guy is waving it in.
Marion yells at Indy to hurry while he frantically tries to get the stopper off the front wheel.
And is confronted with... Big boy himself! Let the punching fight begin!
Punching on the plane.
Punching on the ground. Gotta love that fire there.
And just when Indy's down for the last time, one of the plane's propellers effectively "kills" the big guy.
Then Indy and Marion decide the plane isn't worth all the trouble and run away again, leaping a fire ring in the process! Yeah, it was cool.
Hollywood Studio's main gift shop.
Flower figures.
I thought you simply MUST get a look at the lovely blue shoe of Snow White.
After the Indy show we headed to a Beauty and the Beast Show!
Be our guest song.
In between the above picture and the below picture, I got a ton of pictures but they were all too dark! So we jump ahead through the beast's transformation to the final dance below...
Awaiting the former beast and the new beauty.
And here they are!
A bit of dancing.
And what fairy tale is complete without the kiss at the end?! :)
It was a great show.
Our final destination: Animal Kingdom.
We spotted a fun parade. Rafiki--an all-time favorite of mine.
Goofy my man!
Mary insisted on walking the nature trail :) She took this picture of a tiger.
In this picture we are all soaked from Kali River Rapids, the best water ride ever. And Mom really was on the cell phone.
Another picture of... another animal!
Deer.
After that we went home and went to bed! It's tiring walking all day... I hope you enjoyed!
