Jake takes the Cake -posted by katie

Well here is the long-awaited post of our new puppy--Jake Cochran Krotz (he's really actually Uncle Mike's dog, but we play with him way more!). At first UM named him "Onesimus" (sp?) after that guy who Paul mentions in the New Testament (a slave who'd become a Christian--there's a really good fictional book about it). Anyway, but after a while we all found that Onesimus was too many syllables. So UM made his name Jake, and that's stuck. He's actually starting to respond to his name :) He is the cutest little boy. He has a bit of a nipping problem, but I don't think it's a mean streak, but rather an overpowering desire to play and not understanding that his teeth have grown sharp. He's about three months old now and growing bigger every day!

We keep him in the front mud room and he's FINALLY potty-trained!

He looks like he's smiling, doesn't he? We have a lot of fun with that little rascal. So try not to be too jealous :)
