Now there are a total of FIVE women in the Cochran household! Let me tell you--things were crazy before, but now....! *jk* No really, it is with great pride and pleasure that I blog the twins, Mary and Patricia, and their entrance into womanhood. Yes, we know it doesn't happen in a day, but this was a celebration of what is and what will come. We invited many other ladies and girls to share in this time. I hope you enjoy!
Patricia Hope Cochran and Mary Wisdom Cochran, born November 4th, 1995 in Miami, FL. What lovely ladies they have become *sniff sniff*
OK, the beginning of the day! This is about an hour before the party. My dad's still hanging around, and not only that, but reading a letter meant for Mary! (from yours truly) on the table there. What a nosy!! *wink*
What are you still doing up here!! :) He looks a bit like he's guilty, which he is! He's a guy and that's enough at a time like this !
Preparation goes on...
The soon to be full living room.
The front door through which the guests will enter.
Yours truly torturing myself by making chocolate covered strawberries (I can't have chocolate *sadness*). Valerie apparently thinks that is FUNNY!! *wink*
"Now THIS is what womanhood is all about, Trish" -Val
"Val, you are the wisest woman I know." -Trish
Yummo!
A bit of mess (a very realistic part of womanhood!).
Blueberry scones with Ellie.
The Morgan girls.
Loaded! Oops, that's very lady-like :)
Sweet friends of ours all getting to know eachother.
What a blessing to have all these ladies at our home!
Mary, Ellie, Felicia.
Mrs Cheney, Robin Smith.
The twinsies.
CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES. Somebody hold me back!
The womanly gifts to be bestowed on the women.
Full house!
A bit of my own art (rare, I know).
Hmmm-can't say what that is!
The Cochran and Wandolowski girls: BFFs :)
Blueberry tartlets.
In which Fia and I take pictures of one another at the same time.
Yeah, it was fun. I just don't have the ones of me yet because SOMEBODY hasn't got me her pics yet *hint hint* :) But even if I did have them, I am not sure I'd, um, post them. *cough*
Flowers, the age old beauty.
The Wando girls make their usual entertainment.
What what? Is this actually a normal, quiet picture?
Never mind.
Fia begins to teach Mary her ways :)
Smiles.
Ladies...
Ladies..............
Ladies....................................................
La-What! What is he doing there! How about LAD.............................................. this time :)
Get ready for a series of picture asking you to identify what exactly the picture is of (ie: close ups).
I gave this one away. Punch!
What are these?
What's this!
Guess!
What's this?
And this!
And this! Oh I got carried away. It's an ADORABLE baby (I AM biased since I think all babies adorable, I know!). Mrs. Cohen brought her newest addition with her.
The food is dwindling, but by no means gone.
Mrs Cohen and her sweet daughters.
Beauty!
Camera wars.
Time for presents! What can this be?
A globe! Well , that's not what I call a particuarly womanly present (men use globes too), but...
Everyone was tricked! It's just a box. Really the gift is a candy tray filled with Godiva Chocolates! It was here that I edited and deleted many pictures because of the mad rush of women that assaulted Patricia... *wink*
After the mad rush, everyone is back sitting down and in their right minds (after eating chocolate, who isn't in their right mind!!?).
Mrs Sorteberg shared a blessing over Patricia.
As did Mom.
Dad impartes words of wisdom, despite his nervousness of being the only guy present.
Robin read them a beautiful letter.
Oh, there's another male! He looks a little overwhelmed though. Mrs Cheney read them a cute story.
And gave them those chocolate covered cherries! There was nearly another mad rush.
But Patricia just quickly ate them and so took away the incentive *joking!!*
Mrs Einersin blessed the girls as well.
And the Plowdens sang a Hebrew prayer over the girls!
Then they sang one over our whole family! It was neat.
Check out these lovely earrings.
Mary and Mandy.
Smiles all 'round.
Happiness.
Well it's the end of the day.
All is calm and all are full.
Messes are cleaned and food is put away.
So Patricia took a few moments with the flowers.
Did you really think I took those pictures?
God bless Mary and Patricia as they live their adult lives for him. Thanks to all the women who gave of their time, gifts, and gracious words to bless and build up the twins and our family. Cheers to womanhood!
